O'Connor/Hopp wedding

Molly Kathleen O'Connor and Aaron William Hopp were united in marriage on Saturday June 21, 2008 at 4 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ely, Iowa. Molly is the daughter of John and Kay O'Connor of Cherokee and Aaron is the son of Harold and Kathy Hopp of Solon. Grandmother of the bride is Jan Olofson of Ankeny and grandmothers of the groom are Elevena Hopp and edith Boll. Great-grandmother of the groom is Pauline Boll.

Molly wore a soft organza gown with a goddess bodice and a center rhinestone brooch. The bouquet she carried was made of roses and wildflowers.

Megan O'Connor, sister of the bride, was the Maid of Honor and Sara Wakefield and Karen Gotto, friends of the bride, were the bridesmaids. The bridal attendants each wore a soft canary yellow tea length dress and carried a bouquet of roses and wildflowers. Nicole Lockwood, friend of the bride, was the personal attendant.

Alyssa Koestner, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. Her dress was a full-length organza empire, bodice style, with a canary yellow sash.

Brad Peterson, friend of the groom, was the Best Man. Adam Hopp, brother of the groom and Noah Konzen, friend of the groom, served as groomsmen. All wore black tuxedos with a canary yellow vest and tie.

Ushers were Hayes Olofson, cousin of the bride, and Britt Wilson, friend of the groom. Guest book, gifts and program attendants wee Rachel Hopp, sister of the groom, and Lindy Hopp, sister-in-law of the groom. Vocalist was Judy Kaesner, aunt of the groom.

A reception at the Ronneberg in Amana was held following the wedding ceremony.

Molly is an educational psychologist with the Grant wood Area Education Agency and works with the Linn-Mar School District. Aaron is a subcontractor, is a member of the Iowa National Guard, and is continuing to work on his business degree.

The newlyweds make their home in Toddville, Iowa.
