Siouxland Honor Flight completed its inaugural flight out of Sioux Gateway Airport on Tuesday, September 9, 2008. Our organization, a hub of National Honor Flight, is credited with the first charter out of the state of Iowa, carrying 100 WWII Veterans to Washington D.C. to see THEIR Memorial.
The trip was a huge success, due to so many generous contributions, but there is a long list of WWII Veterans who are waiting and hoping to be able to take their "Honor Flight" in the very near future.
The organizers of Siouxland Honor Flight are kicking off the effort to get another flight in the air with a fundraiser to help support the cause.
"On a Wing and a Prayer" is a great tribute and comes just in time to honor our Siouxland WWII Veterans for "Veterans Day". Come out and enjoy an afternoon of Patriotic WWII Era music in honor of our Veterans! The Avi8ors Ensemble from Omaha will be entertaining you:
