On Friday Oct. 23, members of the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce held a Red Ribbon ceremony at the Cherokee campus of Western Iowa Tech Community College. The ceremony was to officially open the college's new Advanced Engineering Mobile Skill Center. The mobile classroom and manufacturing trailer will provide a unique environment for learning high-tech manufacturing and design skills. Mike Hunter, who serves on the WITCC Board of Directors, cuts the ribbon while being assisted by Dr. Robert Dunker, WITCC President, and Darla Struck, Director of the Cherokee WITCC Campus and Northern Services Area.
