Last Friday was Hallowe'en - and what better night to close the doors on Aurelia's Haunted Bates Motel.

Founded in October 1999, the Bates has scared the beejeebers out of visitors ever since, thanks to a spooky group of hosts, including Denny and Pam Allen, John Miller, Bob and Amy Mikos, Rod and Cheryl Hasenwinkel, and a whole group of more-than-willing volunteers.

The Bates was open for the last time on Friday night, October 31, 2008, between 7 and 10 p.m., for one last spooky farewell.
