Buffalo Ridge players earn All-District football nods

Cronin earns first-team berth

Buffalo Ridge, the first-year merger of the Galva-Holstein and Schaller-Crestland football programs, landed three players on the 2008 Class 2A District 2 All-District teams, including first-team selection Mark Cronin, a senior linebacker for the Bison.

Earning second team All-District honors were senior defensive lineman Josh Alesch, and senior receiver Patrick McAreavy.

All-District honorable mention honors went to Buffalo Ridge sophomore running back Tyler Kenney.

In addition, six Bison earned All-District All Academic honors this season, including junior Andrew Stern, and seniors Ray Wedeking, Josh Alesch, Jared Schlinz, Mark Cronin, and Chad Borchers.

Also for the Bison, team manager Audrey Davis was All Academic, along with cheerleaders Steph Robley, Chelsie Stephens, Jayde Boyle, Heidi Kistenmacher, and Courtney Voss.
