FORT DODGE -- The Iowa Central women's basketball staff expects a big sophomore season from their First Team All-Region XI returner Kylie Dilla, and apparently, so does everyone else.

Dilla, a sophomore from Cherokee, was tabbed as an NJCAA II Preseason First Team All-American. The guard averaged 9.5 points and 4.2 assists per game last season as she helped lead the Tritons to the best season in school history. Dilla played in all 33 games and also averaged 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game.

Dilla, the daughter of Lanette Peterson of Cherokee and Tony Dilla of Des Moines, was a repeat All-Lakes Conference and All-State basetball player at Cherokee Washington High.

Dilla is the only player from the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference selected to the First Team. Samantha Boje from Iowa Lakes was the only other ICCAC player tabbed as she was named to the Third Team.
