T.T.T. will be holding their annual Holiday Tour of Homes from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, December 7.

The Chronicle Times is running a series on the five homes on this year's tour.

Following is a brief description of one of this year's five featured homes, but all the featured homes really need to be seen to be appreciated.

Transforming the buffet It's obvious that Cherie loves to decorate. She recently transformed this old buffet into a new look with a coat of black paint.
Today the Dennis and Cherie Holton residence at 810 E. Spruce St. is the T.T.T. Holiday Tour of Homes featured home.

Denny and Cherie Holton purchased their home at 810 E Spruce Street in Cherokee in June 1999. The home was built in the mid -1960's by Otis Haley, and in 2006, the Holtons added an addition to the back of the home, making the kitchen now open to the family room and dining room.

They say this has allowed them to host holiday dinners, and gives them ample room when their children and six grandchildren visit.

Comfortable room You can watch a multitude of birds in the back yard as you warm up in front of the new fireplace at the Holtons. If the weather permits on Dec. 7, you will get an added treat with a peek of the "party room" out back.
Denny and Cherie love the location of their home, and especially enjoy their back yard. They describe the house as a "very simple ranch"-style home, but add that

their daughters are coming to help them add some "special holiday touches"

for the tour.

The girls enjoy decorating, and Mom and Dad are "sure we'll have fun in the process."

T.T.T. is hosting its annual Holiday Tour of Homes in Cherokee on Sunday, December 7, from 1-4 p.m.

Tickets for the event are $10, and may be purchased in advance at Valley Bank and Trust (both the Cherokee and Marcus locations), Cherokee State Bank, North Star Credit Union, Central Bank, or Hy Vee Gifts and More.

You may also purchase the tickets on the day of the tour at any of the tour homes.

Homes on the tour this year include the homes of Duane Mummert, Denny and Cherie Holton, Chad and Kelli Carey, Mike and Ann Letsche, and Mark and Mary Groher.
