Parents of the couple are Mark and Susan Perrin of Cherokee and Don and Linda Friedrichsen of Holstein. Grandparents of the bride are Chuck and Dorothy Perrin of Cherokee and Bonnie Smith of Marcus. Grandparents of the groom are Lois Friedrichsen of Ida Grove and Floyd and Theo Nielsen of Pocahontas.
Melissa wore a diamond white organza gown with fitted bodice and sweetheart neckline. The bodice and chapel length train were accented with seed pearls and Swarovski crystals. She wore her late grandmother's brooch to anchor her veil and carried a bouquet of dark and light pink peonies.
Emily Perrin, sister of the bride, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Sara Husman, Emily Wilcox and Jessica Wonderlich, all friends of the couple. Kendra Husman, goddaughter of the bride was flower girl. The attendants wore tea length chiffon dresses in a dark peony pink. They carried bouquets of pale pink peonies. The flower girl wore a tea length white dress with a peony pink sash and carried a pomander of assorted flowers.
Alan Friedrichsen, brother of the groom, served as Best Man. Judd Gross, Tim Keegan and Seth Smith served as groomsmen. Ushers were Brett Friedrichsen, Chris Lursen, Marc Oostenink and Dana Morgan. The men wore three button black tuxes with white shirt, black vest and tie. Each was accented with a peony pink pocket square.
Valerie Cronin, cousin of the bride, served as personal attendant. Erin Schleef, friend of the couple and Julia Conley, cousin of the bride, served as guestbook attendants. Tara Wellman and Amber Stricker, friends of the couple, helped as wedding assistants.
Following the ceremony, a reception and dance was provided at Western Iowa Tech in Cherokee. Tim and Lisa Perrin, uncle and aunt of the bride and Bruce and Carolyn Wheatley, uncle and aunt of the groom, were hosts and hostess for the reception.
The bride received her B.S. in Animal Science and D.V.M. from Iowa State University. She is currently practicing with the Holstein Ida Grove Veterinary Clinic in Holstein. The groom received his B.S. in Agricultural Systems Technology from Iowa State University and is engaged in farming and raising livestock in rural Holstein.
Following a honeymoon in Negril, Jamaica, the couple is at home in rural Holstein. They would like to thank everyone who shard in their day and helped to make it so special.
