Old man winter returned to Cherokee on Monday evening Dec.8th , leaving four inches of snow at the Cherokee Fire and Rescue Station. Besides leaving a blanket of snow the storm landed on top of the frozen rain that began Monday afternoon. This first significant storm of the season left many residents scraping their entombed vehicles and having to dig out the driveways and sidewalks. The storm caused many late starts and area school cancellations. Photo by Mike Leckband
