Christine Kay (Freeman) Daisy, 61, of Cherokee, formerly of Sioux City, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, after suffering from a long illness. Funeral services were held on Dec. 12 at Christy Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City, with pastor Larry Ostercamp officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Christine Kay Freeman was born on Jan. 21, 1947, in Sioux City, to Mark and Julia (Gunderson) Freeman. Christine attended East High School in Sioux City and received her GED from WITCC. She lived in Sioux City before moving to Cherokee in the early 1980's. She became a resident of Careage Hills Nursing Home there in 2004. Christine was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cherokee.

Christine was preceded in death by her father, Mark Freeman.

Christine is survived by her mother Julia Freeman of Sioux City; son Jim and wife Patty Loucks of Sioux City; daughter Lisa and husband Dan Rollison of Cherokee; son Mark and wife Lynette Loucks of Sioux City, son Larry Gorden of Cherokee and son Ryan Gorden of Cherokee; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother Alan Freeman of Sioux City and sister Kathy and husband Dave VanGundy of Des Moines. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives survive Christine.
