The Iowa Motor Truck Association was established in 1942 and has been the voice of the trucking industry since that time. The Iowa Motor Truck Association represents over 750 trucking companies from across the state of Iowa and members in all 99 counties. In Iowa alone, over 78% of all communities depend 100% on trucks for the delivery of goods and services they depend upon. The trucking industry's association offices are headquartered in Des Moines and sit at the foot of Iowa States Capitol.
As a member of the Iowa Road Team, Todd Anderson has taken a few days each month during the last year to travel across the state to meet with the public and talk about the highway safety and trucking issues. The Road Team has assisted with a variety of events including the 2008 Truck Driving Championships, various speaking events at Drivers Education Classes & Truck Driving Education Classes and they have served as great ambassadors of the trucking industry.
Road Team members are able to address some very important issues such as; the implementation of standardized Commercial Drivers License, highway safety tips presented in the Share the Road with Trucks program, careers in trucking and their impact on everyday life, & a variety of other topics related to the trucking industry.
"Our road team members are the premier drivers in this industry. We are pleased that Todd Anderson was able to provide leadership and insight to our organization through their involvement in the 2008 Iowa Road Team," said Brenda Neville, President, Iowa Motor Truck Association.
