The Cherokee County Supervisors met on Dec, 9 for their regular meeting. Items on their agenda included County Engineer Dave Shanahan's discussion of general business and a report from Cherokee County Conservation Director Ginger Walker.
Walker presented the Board with her annual report for the fiscal year of 2007/2008, and also reported to the Board that the Silver Sioux Lodge currently has reservations -- usually weekends - for the next three years. You can call the Cherokee County Conservation Board office at 225-6709 to make reservations.
Walker also said the growing popularity of the renovated Silver Sioux Lodge is a positive sign that the future Martin Access expansion project would benefit from having cabins in place at the new camping area.
