Spring is coming early this year--and so is the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days! Cherokee County residents have until Feb. 16 to place their orders for daffodils.

Make a minimum $10 donation to American Cancer Society and receive a bunch of 10 daffodils to give to someone special. A bunch of daffodils and a vase is available for a $12 donation.

For a $25 donation, you can give the Gift of Hope bouquet to someone special or have it delivered anonymously to local cancer patients who are receiving treatment at medical centers in the community.

Also, don't forget Carrie N. Hope, this year's 2009 limited edition Boyd's Bear designed exclusively for the American Cancer Society's Daffodil Days campaign. The Bear and a Bunch of daffodils is available for a $25 donation to the fight against cancer.

Orders are now being taken by contacting Brenda Parker at 434-2188. Daffodils will be available for pick up on March 10 at the Cherokee Library. If your business would like to participate in Daffodil Days, contact the American Cancer Society at 712-336-4133.

Having cancer is hard. Finding help shouldn't be. Dollars raised through Daffodil Days are providing hope to people in the Cherokee community. For cancer information, day-to-day help, or emotional support, call 1-800-227-2345 or visit www.cancer.org.
