Bentsen was with the bank for 17 years, serving most recently as President and CEO, as well as serving as a member of the Board of Directors.
In making the announcement, Pingrey said, "We have enjoyed our relationship with Randy. He is a good banker, and we wish him success in his future."
Pingrey, a 40-year banker based in Denver, Colo., will assume the additional titles of President and CEO of First Trust and Savings Bank, as well as remaining as the Chairman of the Board.
Kent Ahnemann has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and will be the day-to-day manager of the bank.
Kyle Pingrey, Assistant Vice President, will transfer from the bank's Marcus office to Aurelia, where he will assume additional management and lending duties. He will also continue to spend a portion of his time in Marcus, and has been promoted to Secretary of the bank and holding company boards.
"These changes," said Mark Pingrey, "will position us to continue to provide quality financial products to the Cherokee County area."
First Trust and Savings Bank has offices in Aurelia, Cleghorn, and Marcus.
