Bulldog girls fall hard to N-F

NEWELL - The Aurelia Bulldog girls took on a very tough Northwest Conference opponent here on Feb. 6, and trailed the entire game, falling to the host Newell-Fonda Lady Mustangs, ranked #2 in the state, by an 85-31 score.

Meghan Glawe led the Bulldogs in scoring, netting 14 points, and also grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked a shot for Coach Tim Galvin's team. Shaina Thevenin and Erin Laursen scored six points apiece, and Laursen also grabbed eight rebounds. Audrey Winterhof had seven boards, and Shaina Thevenin had two steals.

Newell-Fonda, now 18-1, had 12 of their players break into the scoring column, led by Becky Seivert, with 15 points and Lauren Devereaux, with 14.
