NEWELL - The Aurelia boys basketball team's three-game winning streak came crashing to a halt in a Northwest Conference match-up with Newell-Fonda here on Friday, Feb. 6.

Aurelia coach Grant Peckenschneider summed up the loss. "We just played flat tonight," he said, "Our defense was not very good. The difference in the game was that they made six three-point shots, and we were 0 -10. They went on a run to start the third, and we could not recover."

The Bulldogs were down by just three (25-22) at half-time, but trailed by a dozen at the end of that frame, and wound up losing by a 66-42 score.

Cam Meyer and Jordan Glawe both had a double-double for the 'Dogs, with Meyer having 15 points and 10 rebounds and Glawe having 14 of each. Meyer also blocked two shots. Aaron Bruce scored nine and had seven boards.
