Cherokee Area Cancer Support Group meeting on Feb. 21

According to the American Cancer Society, there will be an estimated 1.4 million new cases of cancer diagnosed in 2009. Everyone has been affected by cancer in one-way or another. You may be a current cancer patient, a cancer survivor or have a family member or friend who is suffering from cancer.

The next meeting of the Cherokee Area Cancer Support Group will be Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. at the Copper Cup in Cherokee. Anyone that has been touched by cancer is welcome to attend.

The format of the meetings will be educational and will include speakers on various topics, group discussions and a time for sharing. This program is free to the public and is a great opportunity to visit with others affected by cancer. This support group has been organized by Darlene Wiersema and Connie Nelson.
