AMES, Iowa -- The Iowa Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) elected Rita Frahm as one of seven new members of its State Advisory Board. The advisory board represents all regions of the state and many of the partners and associations that represent Iowa's businesses and industries.
Frahm is the President of Ida County Economic Development and a Vice President at Heritage Bank in Holstein. She resides in Galva with her husband Larry and two sons Noah and Joshua.
As a board member, Frahm will join other business and professional peers from across Iowa in providing insight and perspective to the business assistance organization.
The Iowa Small Business Development Center, an outreach unit of Iowa State University's College of Business, is partially funded by the U. S. Small Business Administration and has 15 regional assistance centers located strategically across the state. Since program inception in 1981, the SBDC has helped hundreds of thousands of Iowa businesses and entrepreneurs through personal counseling and training.
