Banquet scheduled for March 21

The Cherokee County Pheasants Forever Board recently received an award plaque during the State Pheasants Forever Meeting in Des Moines.

The local chapter was awarded a plaque for contributing over $250,000 towards habitat projects in Cherokee County.

All the money was raised at the local Pheasants Forever banquet that is held each year and stays with the chapter to use in Cherokee County. They couldn't do it without the support of all those who attend the banquet each Spring, thanks to the hard work of the Pheasants Forever Board for popularizing the event.

This year's banquet will be held on Saturday, March 21 at the Western Iowa Tech Community College Conference Center in Cherokee.

If interested in attending, you may contact any of the board members for tickets or Tim Haupert at Hy-Vee at 225-4139.
