STORM LAKE - The Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) announced its All-Conference Women's Basketball teams recently, and Buena Vista University had two individuals earning recognition.

Junior guard Margo Muhlbauer (Manilla, Iowa/IKM) was named a First Team selection for the third straight season, while senior guard Katie Ebel (Cherokee, Iowa/Cherokee Washington) was an Honorable Mention member.

Muhlbauer led both the team and league in scoring by averaging 19.5 points per game this season. She also hauled in a team-best 5.3 rebounds, while turning in 54 steals. She finished the year shooting a league and career-high 90.1 percent from the free-throw line, while ending the season making 32 straight and 41 of her last 42. She turned in a league-high 31 points during an IIAC Tournament quarterfinal win against Luther and scored at least 20 points 14 times.

Ebel finished third on the team in scoring, averaging 9.6 points per game, and finished third in the league in three-point shooting percentage (43.5; 37-of-85). Defensively, she hauled in 4.8 rebounds and recorded 44 steals. Her biggest moment of the year came when she hit the game-winning three-point shot at home against then ninth-ranked Simpson College to hand the Storm a 93-90 loss.

The duo helped guide Buena Vista to an 18-9 overall mark this season - the most wins for the team since it won 25 back in 2004-05.
