Anyone looking for knick knacks to help decorate their home now has a new place to find them in Cherokee. "Kit Kat's Knick Knacks and More" opened their doors for business on Tuesday, March 17, at 10 a. m.
The new business is owned by Debbie Robb, who has owned the Trash and Treasures store, now located at 317 E. Main St. in Cherokee, for 14 years. Robb said she found that she needed more space for the used furniture she sells, and has expanded her business by renting the new building, located at 920 S. 2nd St. (the former home of South Side Auto Supply) in order to be able to show all of the items she has for sale.
Kit Kat's will be selling both new and used knick knacks, as well as new fishing supplies, new body jewelry, and used furniture. Katie Cresap, who has worked for Robb for five years, will serve as the store manager at Kit Kat's and is also responsible for the name of the new store. Robb told her it was up to her to pick a name, and Cresap chose to incorporate the name of her favorite candy bar - Kit Kat - into the store name.
Though they don't have a sign on the building yet, Kit Kat's Knick Knacks and More opened for business on the 17th. They will be having a red ribbon-cutting ceremony at the store on Friday, March 27, during the weekly Chamber of Commerce coffee, which starts at 9:30 a.m.
