Kelly's cool ride
A great day was had by all recently when Cherry House resident Kelly Clark was treated to a ride in his favorite car - a shiny Trans-Am he had spotted at a used vehicle dealership in Cherokee when he and Cherry House employee Marcia Casey drove by.
Kelly told Marcia that former Cherokean Michael Immele had a car like that, and would take Kelly cruising in it. When Kelly told Marcia he'd like to take that Trans-Am for a spin, Marcia made a call to Swain's Used Cars and learned that the car belonged to Rod Liles. Marcia then called Rod, and Rod let Marcia and Kelly take the car for a spin. Kelly had to stop at several places to show the car off. Completing Kelly's Big Day was his sitting in the driver's seat with his dad, Chuck, by his side. "It may be a small act of kindness to some, but it meant the world to Kelly," noted Marcia. "It's nice to live in a small community where people care about others." Photos contributed
