Heather Lynn Kirby, age 30, of Duluth, Minnesota, died on Monday, March 23, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville, with Rev. Michael Ince officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterville. Visitation will be held at the Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home in Waterville from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2009 , and continue on Saturday for one hour before services at the church.

Heather, the daughter of Patrick and Mary (Blowers) Kirby, was born on October 11, 1978 in Mankato, Minnesota. She attended school in Waterville, Minnesota before graduating from high school in Aitkin, Minnesota. She later attended college in Duluth, and worked as a bookkeeper in Duluth for several years. Most recently, she provided daycare services while she was finishing her college studies towards a degree in accounting. She enjoyed being with her children, cooking, and recreational water sports.

Heather is survived by her parents, Patrick and Mary Kirby of Cherokee, IA; a special friend, James Tesdahl and his two children, Alex Tesdahl and Emma Tesdahl, all of Duluth. She is also survived by two brothers, Tony Kirby and Rhonda Heshiser and their children Matt Heshiser and Anthony Kirby of Dassel and Jeff Kirby and his son Joshua Kirby of Des Moines, IA; a maternal grandmother, Virginia Blowers of Waterville, Minnesota, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather, one uncle, James Blowers and one aunt, Peggy Leahy.
