Exciting prizes and fun for all highlight the Chronicle Times second annual Great Easter Egg Hunt beginning today.

A Gold and Silver egg will be hidden within the city limits (excluding private property) of Cherokee. Clues published each day day the Chronicle Times newspaper is published (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) March 30 through April 10 will help participants along the Bunny Path and, hopefully, to the eggs. Any found eggs must be returned to the Chronicle Times office to claim the prize within.

If the eggs haven't been found by the Great Easter Egg Hunt's final day - Friday, April 10 - the Chronicle Times will publish all the clues, including the last one. The clues will be published up to and including the final day until the hidden Gold and Silver Eggs are found. The daily Silver Egg clues are hidden within random participating sponsors ads each day in the Chronicle Times and Area Advertiser.

Among the great prizes is the Golden Egg winner - $1,000 in furniture from Carey's Furniture in downtown Cherokee. The Silver Egg winner receives approximately $380 in gift certificates from participating Cherokee businesses, including a one-year subscription to the Chronicle Times.

In conjunction, Carey's Furniture will have a Golden Egg Bonus Clue in their store on Thursday, April 2 and 9.

The Great Easter Egg Hunt is open to anyone except employees of the Chronicle Times and Carey's Furniture, and their immediate families. No purchase is necessary. Decision of the judges is final.
