M-C Community Library launches Spring Reading Program

"Be Creative at Your Library" and explore the worlds of music, art, puppetry, books, and more. The Meriden-Cleghorn Community Library Spring Reading is open to young people, preschool through 5th grade.

The fun will take place at the M-C Community Library in Cleghorn on Thursday, April 16, 23, and 30 at 3:30 p.m. Students in Marcus may ride the bus after school to Cleghorn.

On April 16, Lisa Laird will be returning this year with her ventriloquism, magic, and puppets. Her program is called "Dream-Think-Create."

On April 23, Children will "Catch the Beat" with Mark Casey. Mark will be playing the guitar and harmonica with the audience participation.

On April 30, Children will have an opportunity to show their creativity by decorating gourds with Sandy Peters.

The class with the greatest number (percentage) of students for the entire three sessions will earn a pizza party for their class. Students are urged to challenge Mrs. Utesch's class who won last year's challenge with 64 percent.
