The Lutheran Lecture Series-Midwest

Trinity Lutheran Church, Marcus, and Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Quimby, invites the public to attend The Lutheran Lecture Series-Midwest on Saturday, April 25, 2009. The program, entitled "Reason For Hope: The Lutheran's Defense in the Battle for our Minds, Bodies and Souls," will consist of four presentations given by prominent theologians and Pastors in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Topics will range from a discussion of the teachings of St. Paul, to the value of catechesis and hymnody, classical Lutheran education, and concluding with a discussion of the importance of a robust prayer life.

Registration for the event begins at the Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Marcus at 9:00 a.m. Two presentations will take place before noon, at which time a lunch will be served in the church basement. After lunch, two additional talks and a worship service will take place. The event will conclude by 4:00 p.m. For further information or directions, call Pastor Don Meyer, 376-­2666.
