RV's Hullinger to play at Morningside

SIOUX CITY - Zach Hullinger, a 6-1 guard from Correctionville, is one of six high school recruits announced by Morningside College head men's basketball coach Jim Sykes.

Hullinger earned second team All-North Division honors in the Western Valley Conference this season for his play with River Valley High School. Hullinger's forte was 3-point shooting, as he accounted for half of RV's three point baskets this season, and was the team's most accurate long-range shooter, hitting on 41 of his 100 attempts. Overall, Hullinger shot 43.1 per cent, en route to an 11.6 scoring average for a well-balanced team. He also averaged 4.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.0 steals and 0.9 blocked shots per game.

Among the other Morningside recruits are Mike Huseman, a 6-2 guard from Alta, who was a two-time first-team All Northwest Conference selection, and Michael Oetken, a 6-5 center from Akron-Westfield who earned All-State, All-Northwest Iowa and All-War Eagle Conference honors this season;
