Kiwanis Student of the Month

In a recent meeting, the Kiwanis Club of Cherokee announced its April High School Student of the Month, Jenae Lundell. She is a senior at Washington High School. She is involved in many activities at school including Band, Jazz Band, Choir, NCACDA-Women's Honor Choir, Jazz Choir, Cheerleading, Tennis, Group Speech, Individual Speech-All State for Poetry, National Honor Society Vice President, Spanish Club, Spanish Honor Society, JETS, School plays and also community theatre.

Students selected for the "Kiwanis Student of the Month" Award must demonstrate good academic effort, attend school regularly, and be considerate of others. The purpose of the recognition is to support students who show good potential as future leaders and will work for the betterment of communities through service to others.
