The Cherokee Ridge Runners Club will be holding it's 35 anniversary Spring Rendezvous on May 1, 2 and 3 and the public is welcome during daylight hours.

The School Day at the Rendezvous will be held on Friday, May 1.

On Saturday, there will be a Novelty Shoot and a Hawk and Knife Throw events. Also this year, there will be an Outlaw Hawk Throw. All tomahawks must have a handle and can be thrown with one hand and no explosives. There will different shoots throughout the day starting at 9 a.m. and continuing at the top of every hour until noon, when there will be a break for lunch. Events will resume at 1 p.m.

There will be no camp fees and there will be lots of camp prizes and raffles though out the weekend. There is limited water and wood.

There will be 17 shooting events, including In-Line Muzzleloaders, plus the Hawk and Knife Throw. Remember to post and pull your own targets on the range and bring your own staple gun.

The Fall Rendezvous is held at Little Sioux Wildlife Area located southwest of Cherokee. It's five miles South on Highway 59, turn west onto county road C44, turn south onto the River Road and then turn East on 590th St. (gravel road) and turn South to the entrance to the Little Sioux Wildlife Area.
