SCHALLER - The Aurelia High School boys track and field team participated in the Schaller-Crestland Invite on Friday, and Aurelia's Brandon Pedersen was a double winner, taking the 800 meters with a time of 2:14.20, and also the 1600 meters, with a time of 5:26.30.
Teammate Aaron Bruce finished second to Pedersen in the 1600, with a time of 5:33.21, and also finished in 4th place in the 800, running a time of 2:19.04.
Those were the best showings for Coach Mike Fry's Bulldog squad, which finished fifth in the team standings, with 54 points. East Sac County was the boys team champion, with 190 points, followed by Schaller-Crestland with 107 points, Odebolt-Arthur 105; and Southeast Webster-Grand 75.
Other fourth place finishers for the Bulldogs included Taylor Witzel, Aaron Bruce, Brandon Pedersen and Evan Laursen in the 4 x 800 relay (9:37); Jason Glienke in the 3200 Meter Run (14:08.75); Jacob Howey, Taylor Witzel, Jason Glienke and Elliot Zadow in the 4 x 200 (1:55.27); and Witzel, Bruce, Howey and Pedersen in the 4 x 400 (4:13.37).
