It is very interesting that during the tough times Iowa really comes through. Published studies over the past several months show that Iowa is in 2nd place in the nation for quality of life, the comparison uses a broad range of economic, education, health-oriented, public safety and environmental issues. Iowa also ranked number 2 in the nation on the "Happiness Index" which looks at household income, debt, employment and foreclosures. The state of Iowa has ranked in the top ten "most Livable States" for the past 18 years. These studies confirm to those living here and those outside of our state what a really great place Iowa is for families, careers, business, tourism and recreation. Values and hard-working people are what make Iowa strong and resilient for everything that comes along.
