Each year, Cherokee Regional Medical Center and the Cherokee Regional Medical Center Auxiliary give scholarships to area high school seniors who are interested in a healthcare career. This year's recipients of the Cherokee Regional Medical Center Kenneth Hobson Memorial scholarship were Elisabeth Letsche, a senior at Cherokee Washington High School and Breanna Mathes, a senior at Galva-Holstein High School. The recipients of the CRMC Auxiliary scholarships were MMC senior Taryn Godbersen and Cherokee senior Tom Weaver. The recipients were recently recognized during the Chamber Coffee at the CRMC Auxiliary Coffee and Bake Sale on Friday, May 8. Pictured above are the 2009 CRMC Kenneth Hobson and Auxiliary Scholarship winners: (from left to right): Val Woods, CRMC Board Vice-Chair, Breanna Mathes, Taryn Godbersen, Elisabeth Letsche, Tom Weaver and Sue Parker, CRMC Auxiliary President.
