A Memorial Mass will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee. Rev. Armand Bertrand will officiate. Visitation will be today from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Greenwood Funeral Home in Cherokee. A rosary with the Catholic Daughters of America will be held at 4 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home today. Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Cherokee.

Joann was born May 18, 1945 in Sioux City to Edward and Anna (Wethman) Bartlett. She was educated in the Cherokee school system. Joann worked in the dietary department at the Cherokee Mental Health Institute from 1968 to 2005. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed stopping at every garage sale and helping at funeral dinners.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Joyce Bartlett.
Survivors include a brother, Joe Bartlett Sr., and his wife, Diane, of Worthington, Minn.; two nephews, Joe Bartlett Jr., and his wife, Monica, of Shenandoah, Iowa; Jon Bartlett, and his wife, Susan, of Kansas City, Kansas and their children Jake and Madlin; several cousins, and her special friends, Bonnie Rupp and Martha Bennett.
