Cherokee girls fall 9-0 to SLP-O

A talented Spirit Lake Park-Okoboji girls tennis team defeated Cherokee 9-0 for the second time this season in Lakes Conference action here Monday night.

In varsity singles for Cherokee, Demi Dunn lost 10-1 to Alli Gerking at #1, Allie Parker fell 10-0 to Aubry Kolegraff at #2, Michelle McGarry lost 10-0 to Cassidy Clarity at #3, Sydney Morton lost 10-1 to Kathleen Rowley at #4, Amanda Kohn fell 10-1 to Olivia Skagerboe at #5, and Hillary Wilkie lost 10-1 to Megan Beultel at #6.

In varsity doubles, Dunn and Parker lost 10-1 to Gerking and Kolegraff, McGarry and Morton lost 10-1 to Rowely and Clarity at #2, and Kohn and Wilkie lost 10-5 to Skagerboe and Sarah Webb at #3.

SLP-O also won the JV competition 9-0. IN JV singles for Cherokee, Aurora Buschkamp lost, 8-0 at #1, Sanna Miller lost, 8-5 at #2, Jackie Wilson lost, 8-1 at #3, Denise Freed lost, 8-5 at #4, Kelsey Raper lost, 8-0 at #5, and Brianna Fowler lost, 8-3 at #6.

In JV doubles, Shelby Bingham and Nicole Kellen lost, 8-2 at #1, Raper and Jenea Lundell lost, 8-2 at #2, and Amber Haupert and Jordan Miller lost, 8-2 at #3.
