If you are looking for recreational activities this summer, Cherokee Parks and Recreation has a lot of activities available for you.

- Season Passes - Single - $70; Family - $125
Area youths can sign up for summer swimming lessons on Tuesday, June 2 at the Cherokee Bacon Aquatics Center on West Bluff Street.
This includes public and private swimming lessons. For public lessons, swimmers must be age 5 or older. For private lessons, swimmers must be age 3 or older.
Jessica Cedar, lessons coordinator, will be at the pool at the following times to assist parents and youths to sign up on Tuesday, June 2. Cedar will be present from 7:30 - 9 a.m., from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., and from 4-7 p.m. that day.

June 1-5 and June 8 - 12 - $40 - Sign Up deadline is May 31 ; Rackets will be provided
Tuesdays at 9 a.m. Meet at The Copper Cup and enjoy a nice stroll through Historical Downtown Cherokee
Run or walk on Tuesdays at 6 a.m. and/or Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. (Meet at MHI Trailhead on Iowa Street)
June 27 is the date for the Little Sioux Riverfest 5k and Fun Run , with both the Start and Finish in downtown Cherokee . The cost for the 5K (t-shirt included) is $20 before June 10 and $30 after June 10; Cost for the Fun Run (ages 6-13) will be $5.
Registration - 8 a.m. on June 27; Race starts at 8:30 a.m.
Pick-Up games (ages 14-adult) at Wescott Field every Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
Sign Up Deadline is June 26, with games on Monday evenings, starting July 6; 7 person roster, 5 on court at a time.
June 13 at Wescott Park -- $100 Entry Fee; Payout based on # of teams; Entry deadline is June 9.
Co- Ed League, with games on Wednesday nights, starting June 17.
