Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa holding Open House

Friday, June 5, 2009

Have you ever wondered what Girl Scout camp is really like? Have you heard about it but never seen it? †Do you love camp and want to show it off to your friends? †Here is your chance to tour Girl Scout camp, ask as many questions as you want and see everything that we have to offer. The Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa is hosting an open house at each of their residence camps this Saturday, June 6th, from 10 am to 3 pm. All registered Girl Scouts, as well as the public, are invited to visit Joy Hollow in Westfield, IA; Camp Sacajawea in Boone, IA; and Camp Tanglefoot in Clear Lake, IA.

Each of the three camps offers unique, fun, safe, indoor and outdoor experiences. We invite you to feel the magic of camp at one or more of our Open Houses. Experience camp where the friendships and fun will become lasting lifetime memories, meet the Camp Director and Camp Staff, and explore what each camp has to offer. Check out the waterfront and all it offers at Camp Tanglefoot; say hello to the horses at Camp Sacajawea; and be amazed by the vastness of the land at Joy Hollow. Whether you've been to camp or not, bring family and friends, and visit the Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa Camps.

"This will be the first time I will have an opportunity to meet campers, parents, and the public," states Joy Hollow's Seasonal Camp Director Amanda Warner. "Joy Hollow is such a beautiful place and we offer such great opportunities for girls ń I wish everyone would stop out to see what we have to offer. This summer is going to be such a fun time for the campers and all girls are welcome to join us!"
