Charlene E. Conley-Lovell, 72, died on Jan. 6, 2009 in Henderson, Nev. Interment was held Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nev.
She was born on Feb. 9, 1946 to Orville and Edna Conley in Cherokee during a winter blizzard. Charlene attended school in Cherokee, graduating from the first class from Washington High School in 1954.
After graduation she moved to sunny California to work, retuning home a year later to attend business school. Upon her return to California she met her husband Donald E. Lovell and they married in Las Vegas, Nev. on Aug. 8, 1959.
They had been married 49 years before her sudden death and they had done extended traveling seeing much of the United States, the Caribbean, the Mexican coast, the British Isles, Paris, Hong Kong and her favorite, Hawaii.
Her parents, numerous beloved aunts and uncles and four cousins preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband Don, one son, Micheal Robert of Davenport; one granddaughter, Kelly Lovell of Davenport; one great-granddaughter Mikayla of Davenport; a sister, Barbara Jean Sharp of Mayer, Ariz.; a brother, Alan W. Conley of Des Moines; two aunts, one uncle, numerous cousins, four great-nieces and several great-great nieces and nephews.
