Padres host baseball camp in Akron

AKRON - The San Diego Padres will host a baseball try-out camp at Akron on Monday, June 29, at the Akron baseball field.

The camp, under the direction of Hank Krause, a scout with the San Diego Padres, is for players age 15-19. Players must provide their own glove, shoes, and uniform, with the Padres providing the rest.

The camp starts at 9 a.m. There will be other scouts and a number of college coaches in attendance.
