GHSC softball team has 15 letter winners back

HOLSTEIN - The Galva-Holstein and Schaller-Crestland softball programs are combined this season to form the GHSC Lady Pirates, with former G-Head coach Scott Phelps in charge of the new squad this season.

Phelps greeted 15 returning letter winners, including 11 from G-H, and four from S-C.

Those 15 talented letter winners back are seniors Heather Joslin (outfield/first base), and Lindsey Joslin (shortstop/second base); juniors Jaime Christensen (pitcher), Brea Slaybaugh (third base), Victoria Andresen (outfield/second base), Ashley Buell (infield), Brittney Ridder (infield/catcher), and Sydney Shell (outfield); sophomores Brooke Wiese (outfield/first base), Emily Schiernbeck (shortstop/second base), Michaela Else (catcher/pitcher), Roxanne Grundmeier (shortstop/outfield), Shannon Rohlk (first base), and Kelsey Davidson (pitcher/second base); and freshman Kayla Ronfeldt (third base/catcher).

Other players who could contribute to the Pirates this season are freshmen Katie Kestel, Callie Hoffman, Kara Franken; and 8th graders Gretchen Kistenmacher, Rachel Bunt, Katie Boyle, Dana Hustedt, Kaitlin Wulf, Andrea Zimmer, Brooke Bailey, Jodi Miller, and Sierra Finnegan.
