Friday, June 19, 2009

AURELIA - Seven seniors and a large group of incoming 8th graders will be counted heavily on to lead the Aurelia Bulldogs baseball team this season, under coach Bob Mikos.

Those seniors include catcher Camrin Meyer, second baseman Ryan Donahoo, third baseman Alex Ohlson, pitcher Kody Pinkerton, shortstop Jason Glienke, outfielder Kyle Bruns, and first baseman Aaron Bruce.

The lone sophomore on the squad is Kevin Hernandez, and there are no juniors out for baseball this season. Evan Larson is the lone freshman out for the sport.

Seven 8th graders are among promising newcomers Mikos greeted this season, including Bryan Hernandez (utility/outfield), Colton Ballantyne (first base), Austin Glawe (utility/infield), Jerik Tuggle (utility/outfield), Cory Ballantyne (utility/outfield), Steve Handwork (shortstop), and Kyle Menke (utility/infield).

Keith Gaes is assisting Mikos this season.
