Glen J. Haselhoff, 57, of Cherokee, Iowa died Saturday June 20, 2009 at the Cherokee Regional Medical Center, Cherokee, Iowa following a lengthy illness.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 24, 2009 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Cherokee, Iowa. Rev. Armand Bertrand will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, rural Cherokee, Iowa. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the Greenwood Funeral Home, Cherokee, Iowa. Glen was born August 11, 1951 in Alta, Iowa to George and Martha Marie (Proost) Haselhoff. He attended school in Schaller, Iowa, graduating from high school in 1969 and from UTI in Omaha, Nebraska in 1971. On November 17, 1973 he married the love of his life and best friend Betty Jo Brodersen in Cherokee, Iowa. He worked for Cloverleaf Cold Storage in Cherokee, Iowa for over 30 years. Glen was a member of the Cherokee County Fair Board, a third degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, and the Little Sioux Wildlife Association. Glen enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, camping, hunting, target shooting, and mostly spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Jeff Haselhoff, and his wife, Susan of Badger, Minnesota; Jason Haselhoff, and his wife, Tonya, of Cicero, Indiana; Katie "Babygirl" Haselhoff, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; grandchildren T.J., Chris, Dylan, and Mackenzie; a brother, Armon Haselhoff, and his wife, Betty, of Schaller, Iowa; sisters, Loleta Staver, and her husband, Dean, of Wichita, Kansas; Phyllis Lonergan, and her husband, Jim, of Lincoln, Nebraska; Shirley Staver, of Cherokee, Iowa; his mother in law, Della Brodersen, of Cherokee, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his father in law, Norman "Bud" Brodersen.
