Devon Mongan got the pitching win in the first game over Spencer, allowing no runs on just one hit and striking out two in 2 1/3 innings. Matt Aguirre pitched 1 2/3 innings and gave up five runs on four hits, with one K.
Austin Winchell led Cherokee batters with two hits and two RBI, while Dillon Drefke had two hits, Jake Spindler a hit an RBI, and Nate Seliger one hit.
Spindler got the pitching win in the second victory over Spencer, allowing five runs on two hits and striking out four in four innings.
Skylar Mongan had an RBI double to pace Cherokee, while Matt Husman and Natchan Crouch also laced hits.
Zac Smith got the win over South O'Brien in the first game of that twin bill, allowing four runs on six hits and five Ks in five innings of work.
Drefke and Winchell each had two hits, while Husman and Matt Enderlin each had a hit and RBI, and Seliger one hit.
Drefke picked up the victory over SOS in the second game, allowing no runs on one hit, with two Ks in two inning of relief. Enderlin gave up five runs on one hit and three Ks in two innings.
Aguirre led the Young Braves at the plate with a double, single and two RBI, while Devin Mongan had a double, and Husman, Kyle Comstock, and Gabe Conley each stroked singles.
The Cherokee freshmen are now 4-4 this season.
