The songs will be traditional hymns, with selections including, "How Great Thou Art," "As the Deer," "I'll Fly Away," and others. Cookies and refreshments will follow afterwards, and free-will donations will be accepted. It is anticipated that the concert will last approximately 45 minutes. Wren Smith of Correctionville will provide piano accompaniment.

Steven is the son of Mike and Christy Rupp of Cherokee and Karl and Rita Pearson of Aurelia. He is a 2007 graduate of Aurelia High School and cites his high school vocal instructor, Deb Peterson, as being his inspiration to pursue his educational goal.

Rupp is currently a choral music and music education major at the University of Northern Iowa.
