STORM LAKE - The Galva-Holstein/Schaller-Crestland softball team defeated a very young and talented Storm Lake St. Mary's team by the score 12-11 in non-conference softball action in Storm Lake last week.

Picking up the win on the mound for the Lady Pirates was Jaime Christensen , who gave up nine hits and three earned runs, with one walk and three strikeouts.

Leading the Lady Pirates' 13 - hit attack were Heather Joslin, who went 3-5 with two triples and two RBI; Lindsey Joslin, who went 2-4 with two RBI; and Brittany Ridder, who went 2-4 with a double and two RBI. Ashley Buell had a triple and Emily Schiernbeck a double, while Brooke Wiese drove in twp runs.

GHSC is now 21-12 overall.
