The Sanford Museum invites all kids from age five and up in the Cherokee area to join the "93 Million Mile Club."
The museum will host a sun fun day on July 22 from 1 a.m. until noon. Several activities will be offered: looking safely for sunspots using the museum's solar scope, making several UV crafts, floating a giant solar bag, racing mini solar cars, and eating S'mores from their solar cooker.
Kids from kindergarten and up are welcome to come but they need to pre-register by July 16 by calling the museum at 225-3922. Since all the activities are sun-related, listen to KCHE for weather postponement. This event is free for all who participate.
