Donna Faye Meier, 75, of Holstein died Saturday, July 18, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Holstein. Burial will be at a later date in Holstein
Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home in Holstein.
Donna Faye was born Sept. 6, 1933 in Holstein. The daughter of Henry and Meta (Juelfs) Ewoldt. The second youngest of seven children. She graduated from Holstein High School in 1951. Donna Faye married Paul Meier in 1953 in Holstein, to this union a son Dale Meier was born on Feb. 8, 1974.
Donna Faye was a member of the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of Holstein. She taught Sunday School and did other various activities in the church. Donna Faye was the local manager of the congregate meal site and cleaned the American Legion Hall of Holstein. Donna Faye also enjoyed being a Homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Meta Ewoldt,
Her husband Paul Meier, two sister's Iona and Lois and a brother Donald.
Survivors include a son Dale and his wife Kirsten Meier of Omaha,
Neb., sisters Joyce Albers of Holstein, Lenore Brosamle of Moville and Doris Murphy of Colona Ill., and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
