CRMC offers "Caring Hands" to Cherokee Relay for Life

Monday, July 27, 2009

The Cherokee Regional Medical Center will be one of the major sponsors again this year for the upcoming Relay for Life on Aug. 7-8.

The hospital has been very busy preparing for this event. A garage sale was held at the Wellness Center where over $740 was raised. Employees will also be donating cash or PTO hours, and purchasing Luminaries in honor or memory of a loved one.

CRMC's theme this year will be "Caring Hands," since it fits with the hospital's mission and recently new and expanded Oncology unit.

The night of the Relay there will be over 40 CRMC team members walking for the cause. Watch for the green "Caring Hands" t-shirts. A tent will be set up where you can get a variety of informational pamphlets such as breast cancer testing, and there will also be staff available to answer any questions. The CRMC believes knowledge is power and early detection is very important. The CRMC is a proud supporter of this cause, and invites everyone to be a part of the "Caring Hands" mission. Together, we can all make a difference.
