Funeral services were held today at 10:30 a.m., at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City , with Rev. Randy Russom officiating. Burial was at the Cedar Cemetery in Fonda under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.
Visitation was held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Thursday, at the funeral home in Sac City.
Bonnie was born on April 21, 1954, the daughter of Lee and Doris (Christenson) Smith. She grew up in Fonda, where she graduated from Fonda High School in 1972. On June 16, 1979, she was united in marriage to Robert J. Campbell in Sac City where they made their home. To this union a daughter, Lisa, was born.
Bonnie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Caring for others, until her disability forced her to quit her work as a C.N.A. at the Cherokee Villa. She liked to read papers, crochet, do word search books, tease people, and play with her dogs Rocky and Lady. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Doris Smith, and many aunts and uncles.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Robert J. Campbell of Sac City; her daughter, Lisa M. Campbell of Cherokee; three grandchildren: Damion Kozora and twins, Mary Jane and Karrie Marie Kozora; two brothers, Elmer (Roxanne) Smith of Missouri Valley, and Donald Smith of Royal;and extended family members; and many friends.
