Area students receive scholarships from Buena Vista University

A number of area students have received scholarships from Buena Vista University for the 2009-2010 academic year.

Stephanie Brower from Cherokee received the Arch Award and Loyal Hays scholarship. Stephanie, daughter of Lou Ellen Brower, plans to major in teacher education.

Allison Elliott from Meriden received the Merit and Loyal Hays scholarships. Allison, daughter of Christine Elliott, plans to major in elementary education.

Anthony Hunt from Cherokee received the Merit, Loyal Hays and Peterson endowed scholarships. Anthony, son of Jerri Hunt, plans to major in business at BVU.

Phillip Schulenberg from Cherokee received the Heritage, Loyal Hays and Taylor endowed scholarships. Phillip, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schulenberg, plans to major in athletic training.

Derek Scott from Cherokee received the Heritage and Loyal Hays scholarships. Derek, son of Angela Scott, plans to major in criminal justice.

Kaysie Vauble from Cherokee received the Arch Award and Loyal Hays scholarship. Kaysie, daughter of Jill Keleher, plans to major in criminal justice at BVU.
