Construction progress is full speed ahead for a new vehicle repair business being constructed on the south end of Cherokee, on the west side of U.S. Highway 59.

S&W Repair, which will be located north of Danny's Sports Spot and across the highway from the Home Choices Hospice and Public Health facility, will be owned and operated by Jim Steffen and Dave Wersinger, who were both previously employed as mechanics at the former Brown Chevrolet and Buick Company in Cherokee.

The two partners hope to have their vehicle repair and service business up and running by the end of September, and The Chronicle Times will be reporting further information on the new business as their opening date approaches.

For now, though, both owners are kind of busy - they are also part of the crew doing the construction.
